Two Uncomfortable Hands

Two Uncomfortable Hands

From the beginning we discover
all the signs in stars, shine through
yet, if the roads of life flow straight
why do the caliginous minds bend

These flickering street lights
reawaken after daylights
rest.

They project
an artificial enclosed
haze

That brings comfort,
I fear the shadowed
nest

Leading through life’s
invisible fallacious
maze.

The squeak
of the rusty gate

The scraping
of the swollen door

The sand
tumbling over time’s crawl

Scurrying the uneven floor.
